Owner + Founder + Licensed Paramedical Aesthetician + Master Aesthetician
Marissa was born in Ohio, but has lived in Florida most of her life. In 2003, with over fifteen years of experience in the medical field, Marissa decided to leave the fast-paced hospitals and dive into the serene surroundings of skincare. “I finally feel like I’m doing exactly what I was meant to do.” The skincare business allows me the opportunity to create lasting relationships with my clients which is what I missed in the hospitals.” Marissa truly enjoys helping and serving people. According to her clients and co-workers, she has indeed found her calling. Marissa’s giving heart and healing mind are the traits she shares with people everyday.
In 2009, Marissa added her daughter Gabriella to the company as Director of Communications. In just three short years she would take on a much bigger role. In January of 2012, Marissa and her husband welcomed their adopted son Gage. He has been an inspiration ever since. Later that year, life took a dramatic turn and Marissa faced her hardest challenge yet. A ruptured cerebral aneurysm brought life to an instant standstill. Never one to accept defeat, Marissa would survive a grim prognosis. Over the next few years she battled and devoted her time to recovery and regaining her health. The DayGlo staff, led by Gabriella (daughter), held the ship while Marissa was away. By their work ethic and God’s Grace, DayGlo would also survive.
Now, focusing on being a business owner and mentor, Marissa has enjoyed seeing DayGlo hit its stride. Expanding from one small room to its current space over the last five years has been a dream come true. According to Marissa, “My perspectives within this business and life have changed. I now gauge my personal success by creating a place where my staff can thrive personally and professionally. My hope is that this mindset will help create a calm, nurturing and healing environment. And ultimately a place where our clients can receive the highest level of skincare possible.”
In 2019 DayGlo was awarded the opportunity to become a SkinCeuticals Flagship location. Through Marissa’s leadership, DayGlo was/is the first Aesthetician owned company to achieve SkinCeuticals Flagship status in the country. In 2020, like so many companies, DayGlo faced major headwinds due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdown. Again Marissa managed to retain her staff and keep her company alive.
With the support of her Medical Director, Dr. Robert Rehnke, and Dr. Alicia Billington, DayGlo utilizes the perfect mix of the latest technological advances that Medical Skincare has to offer. “I want every client to enjoy themselves, obtain their desired results, and feel like a part of our family, in whichever order is best for them.” And with her lengthy and extremely loyal client base, DayGlo is clearly delivering on all three.
Marissa is a licensed Para-Medical Aesthetician, a founding member of the SkinCeuticals Master Aesthetician program, and a certified Master Make-Up Artist. She is trained and certified in many skincare treatments and products including jane iredale Mineral Makeup, SkinCeuticals, Obagi, and Eminence Organics. Her specialties include a variety of chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplaning and corrective treatments for rosacea, acne, aging skin and hyper-pigmentation.
Marissa’s favorite skincare treatment is Microneedling. She feels this modality achieves noticeable results in a short amount of time.
Marissa’s favorite skincare product is SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic Vitamin C Serum. It is the most effective and top selling antioxidant.
SkinCeuticals Master Aesthetician + Lead Aesthetician + Communications Manager
Gabriella was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 2009, she graduated from the University of South Florida with her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, specializing in Public Relations. Shortly after graduating, she accepted a dual position for both DayGlo Med-Spa and Dr. Robert D. Rehnke Plastic Surgery as their Director of Communications.
Working in the skin care and plastics industry for several years, her interest in skin health began to grow into a passion. In 2013 she decided to turn that passion into a reality and became a licensed aesthetician.
This career shift proved to be the right move for Gabriella as she truly loves helping her clients achieve their skin care goals and feel more comfortable in their own skin. She also loves the opportunity she has to connect with her clients beyond just skin care.
She specializes in treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, dermaplaning, HydraFacial, Glo2, & DiamondGlow. She is also a certified and licensed permanent makeup artist. She has had extensive training in SkinCeuticals, Eminence, Obagi Medical and jane iredale Mineral Makeup.
Gabriella is a founding member of the Mastering SkinCeuticals Program, completing the Ambassador and Professional levels in 2021. She was then accepted into the Master Level of the program. This was a huge honor, as only 10 aestheticians in the country are accepted to be a Master each year. She is both excited and honored to be a SkinCeuticals Founding Master Aesthetician! In 2024, she is serving as a Master Mentor for this year’s Master class.
Her personal favorite skin therapy is combining Dermaplaning with the Deluxe HydraFacial treatment!
In her spare time, you can find Gabriella at Disney! So she also loves cooking and trying all the new foodie spots in St. Petersburg. And she adores her 5lb chihuahua pup Luna, who looks just like a little fruit bat.
Fun fact: Gabriella has been tap dancing since age 6 and used to be a competitive dancer in ballet, tap, jazz, and clogging.
Licensed Medical Aesthetician
Kriena Lang, a Florida native, has lived in Seminole most of her life, and has been a member of DayGlo’s team since 2011. Kriena attended undergraduate school at St. Petersburg College before she moved on to study at The Salon Professional Academy.
She is proficient in microdermabrasion, Hydrafacial, dermaplaning, chemical peels, Keratin Lash Infusion/Lift, and much more that we offer here at our beautiful spa. She has attended master classes for jane iredale Mineral Makeup, SkinCeuticals, Obagi and Eminence. She is also experienced in additional product lines carried by DayGlo Med-Spa.
Kriena is thrilled to have the opportunity to help patients feel more beautiful and self-assured every day. In her spare time, she loves to spend quality time with her two daughters, family, friends and enjoying everything that Florida has to offer. Kriena is looking forward to introducing you to the treatments we have to rejuvenate your skin and help you be your best self.
Licensed Medical Aesthetician
Tiffany was born and raised in Central Florida. In 2005, she made the move to St. Petersburg to be closer to the water and the downtown area. She graduated from Cortiva Institute with a paramedical esthetician license and has been with the DayGlo family ever since. Her own personal experience with skin issues, such as cystic acne at a young age, is what ultimately brought her to this amazing industry.
She wanted to make a difference in others’ skin by giving patients the tools to achieve the healthy skin they deserve. In 2022, she completed the Mastering SkinCeuticals Ambassador program, learning as much as she can about services and products to give the patients the best care possible. She makes it her mission to learn all the ingredients in the products she works with, so that every patient has the knowledge to take home and utilize to their advantage.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading, visiting the beach, and practicing yoga.
Fun fact: Tiffany used to take dance class, beginning at the age of four. She also taught dance for a time, which shows her passion for education which she now continues to practice by educating her patients about the importance of skin care!
Licensed Master Aesthetician
Amaris was born in Chicago and back and forth from Chicago and Puerto Rico throughout her childhood. She started a business degree at Wilbur’s Wright College in Chicago, but let her passion for skincare interrupt that journey. Her grandmother and mother were both in the skincare industry as well, so it was instilled in her and her family at a very young age. She remembers her grandma making face masks out of egg yolks every night, and that is when she fell in love with skincare. She moved to St. Pete Beach in 1993 and now considers Florida her home.
Amaris is a qualified and licensed paramedical aesthetician and master aesthetician with over 30 years of experience. She got her aesthetics degree from Loraines Academy in Florida and continued to be an educator and coordinator for the Advanced Paramedical Aesthetician course for over five years. She started assisting in the operating room with plastic surgeons in 1998 performing TCA chemical peels, CO2 lasers, and facelifts. She was in charge of all pre and postoperative care and treatments.
Amaris has been an international director of training for skin care consultants and companies throughout South America and the Caribbean and is fluent in Spanish as well as in English. She was also a national educator for Trend Company for over 10 years. Amaris owned Amaris Aesthetics Inc. for over 28 years, up until 2024, when she joined DayGlo Med-Spa.
Amaris specializes in pre and post op skincare and advanced skincare techniques and procedures. She has extensive training on using corrective skincare for previously damaged or acneic skin. Amaris has hands-on training in all advanced and corrective skincare, chemical peels, and the latest in skincare equipment. In addition to skincare, she is licensed in permanent makeup, electrolysis, and laser hair removal. Her favorite treatment is one that will WORK! She customizes her treatments based on the individual’s skin types and needs, but does love the DiamondGlow because of the instant gratification it provides. She is a big advocate for at-home skincare regimens and thinks that is the most important part of getting desired results. Amaris considers her clients her “familia” and her favorite part of her career is getting to make a difference in people’s lives.
In her free time, Amaris loves to spend time with her family, especially her grandkids. She enjoys traveling, especially to Puerto Rico, which is her home away from home. She has a ton of amazing childhood memories in Puerto Rico, so loves when she is able to visit.
Licensed Master Aesthetician + Permanent Makeup Artist
Genevieve was born in Chicago but has been in Florida since she was two. She is a dedicated and avid skincare and Permanent Makeup artistry professional who is eager to share her expertise with her clients. She graduated with her license in cosmetology and aesthetics at Loraine’s Academy in St. Petersburg, FL and has been in the medical skincare industry for 13 years.
Genevieve’s capabilities include experience in treating hyperpigmentation, acneic skin, and prematurely aged skin utilizing chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, and microneedling. Her proficiencies also include eyebrow sculpting services and permanent makeup artistry with an emphasis on natural looking results. Genevieve has an eye for art, making her a great makeup artist. She enjoys day to day makeup, but loves the challenge Halloween/3-D makeup provides.
Genevieve’s tailored skincare approach is designed with the client’s needs, wants, and expectations in mind. Her objective is to provide each client with outstanding customer service and to build a relationship in which trust, education, and compassion are a top priority. Supplying each client with an atmosphere conducive to relaxation and rejuvenation is imperative.
Genevieve has her bachelor’s degree in criminology and is currently in nursing school with aspirations of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She has two young boys, and loves being a boy mom. Genevieve enjoys camping, boating, and DIY projects with her kids. She keeps up to date with the latest technology and methods in skincare and permanent makeup artistry with continual education.
Licensed Massage Therapist (MA#0008142 + MM#45576)
Betty has provided Massage Therapy to the St. Petersburg area for more than 15 years. She started working with Amaris in the Spring of 2012 and joined DayGlo Med-Spa in 2024. Betty happily helps a wide variety of clients from individuals looking for stress reduction to those working to overcome injuries and pain.
Betty graduated with a degree in Massage Therapy from The Humanities Center of Allied Health in Pinellas Park. FL and is licensed by the state of Florida Department of Health. In the past, Betty also worked with children who had muscular dystrophy. She is extremely talented at what she does and continues her education in the fascinating and healing field of bodywork. Betty enjoys exercise and ballroom dancing in her free time.
Front Office Patient Coordinator + Spa Manager
Katie was born in a small town in Minnesota. In the Spring of 2022, she graduated with a Biology and Psychology degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She moved to Tampa with a friend in August 2022 for a fun change of scenery.
Katie loves the skin care business and is excited to learn more about products and services as she works as the Front Office Patient Coordinator at DayGlo Med-Spa. In her freetime she loves to stay active, going on walks and lifting weights. She also enjoys playing sand volleyball and trying new restaurants with friends.
